Our desire for you is that you know Jesus and follow him. And if you do not have a home church, we invite you to make Riverside your home.
Visiting a new church can be overwhelming, so below are some frequently asked questions to help you. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to us.
PLANNING A VISIT?
HERE ARE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I start?
We’d love to meet you! You could join us in-person or online. We have one worship service time: Sundays at 10:30 am.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. At Riverside, you are our guest. There are lots of people just like you who are checking out Riverside for the first time. Our goal is for you to feel welcomed and loved. Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
If you are joining us online, the same applies! We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed!
If you would like to connect with us and learn more about Riverside Church simply fill out our Connect Card.
What should I wear?
Feel free to dress in clothes that are comfortable for you when you come to Riverside. You can “dress up” if you want, or wear casual clothes. We’re just excited that you decided to hang out with us.
Where should I park?
Parking is a breeze! Because our church is inside of a shopping plaza, we have an abundance of parking right in front of our facility. Let us know if you need any special accommodations in regards to parking. Email [email protected]. We want to make sure your visit is AWESOME!
What about my children?
KidMin is our children’s ministry for any kids from nursery through 5th grade. We strive to provide a safe environment where children are taught about the Lord in a fun way and encouraged to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Please visit our RivKids page for more information. For further questions about RivKids please contact our children’s ministry team at [email protected]
Where are you located?
We’re located in a shopping plaza in North Lauderdale, FL on the southwest corner of Kimberly and Rock Island Road. Just look for the Riverside Church sign. Check out our contact page if you need directions.
Do you have midweek service?
We’re always offering something new each month so check out our “What’s Happening” newsletter on our homepage for any events or services happening in the middle of the week. Otherwise, if you’re looking for something more consistent to visit each week check out our Life Groups that meet at various times throughout the week.
How can I meet others and get connected?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Know and Grow Track. Life Groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to know and grow in Christ.
How can I be discipled and grow?
Our desire is to see you know and grow in Christ. Our Know and Grow Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. You can begin the process at any step in our Know and Grow Track.
Why do you have life groups?
We gather in Life Groups to build community and care for people. We believe God created us to live in community with others and only then can we experience the full life He intends for us.
How can I get involved in a life group?
One of the easiest things to do at Riverside Church is to participate in a life group. Our life groups meet in-person, online, or a mix of both (hybrid). Groups meet throughout South Florida and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a life group near you. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week.
