OUR TEAM

Brian Brookins has served on the pastoral staff at Riverside since 1987 and as lead pastor since 1990. He is passionate about building a multi-cultural local church that displays and proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is the community of Christ, living by and freely sharing the inexhaustible mercy of God. As the gospel transforms us, the gospel informs all we do.

God has called Brian to work toward unity in the church. He pursues this call by caring for other pastors as a part of the leadership team for Church United. Heading up the soul care effort for leaders here in Broward County connects not only Brian but also Riverside to the coordinated effort of the church working together.

Family is at the heart of Brian’s life and ministry, informing and flavoring his approach to community life. Brian and Beth married in 1987 and are blessed with 6 children and an ever-increasing number of grandchildren.

Winston Miller has served in various pastoral ministry roles since 2001; as worship pastor, teaching pastor, and minister of operations. Most recently he was the church planting pastor of Grace Life Church, before joining the pastoral staff at Riverside Church.

The son of Jamaican immigrants, Winston was born in Massachusetts yet raised in Broward County, Florida. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering at Florida A&M University, worked in business management and consulting, and later attended Reformed Theological Seminary from which he earned a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Counseling.

Winston has a great passion for family and community, especially to see those who have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ become agents of transformation in their own families and communities. He deeply feels the call to teach and disciple a generation of believers that will love Jesus, love their neighbor, and be prepared to serve the Lord courageously while facing the realities of an ever changing local and global landscape.

Winston and his wife Brenda have been married since 1996. They are the proud parents of three children.
